Just last week we’ve learned that over 500 apps in the Google Play store were infected with spyware, which was secretly swiping the personal data of app users.
According to research by cybersecurity firm Lookout, people downloaded the apps over 100 million times. Infected apps included teen video games, weather apps, photo editing apps, fitness, and even emoji apps.
So how would you know if your mobile device has been infected and what are the repercussions? You could subscribe to free services like Have I Been Pwned? or, as an organization, subscribe to Pink Hat's Credential Monitoring service and have every email in your company monitored.
